Haldighati Darra or the Haldighati Pass is a legendary mountain pass in the Aravalli Hills of Rajasthan. Its name, which means “Valley of Turmeric,” is derived from the unique yellowish color of its soil, which locals say is a constant reminder of the blood spilled during the epic Battle of Haldighati in 1576.
